Three Decades

Tim entered a whole new realm today.

He became an old man.

30 years ago today...the world became a much happier, better, more splendid place.

I know my life is pretty much amazing because he's in it :)

In honor of Tim turning the big three-o...here's a list of 30 things about the man who makes the world turn.

1.  He was born in Springfield, Oregon

2.  He is the oldest of four boys

3.  His middle name is Rollans...which is also his Dad's middle name...which happens to be his Grandmother's maiden name...but for some reason, they spelled it different.

4.  His favorite ice cream is lime sherbet...but its pretty hard to find anymore.

5.  He watched hours of youtube videos to learn how to french braid my hair because he loves me :)

6.  His favorite basketball player of all time is John Stockton.  He just about cried when he found out he had retired while he was on his mission.

7.  He served his LDS mission in Sendai, Japan.

8.  The Notebook makes him cry every single time we watch it.

9.  He works at ARUP Laboratories.

10.  He likes to iron.  It relaxes him :)

11.  His favorite movie is Field of Dreams.

12.  His second favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber...which he made me watch and I will never get those two precious hours of my life back.  

13.  He's a food snob.

14.  He's also a sushi snob.  He won't eat any sushi unless it's fresh from the coast.  I guess that's what happens after living in Japan for two years.

15.  He has quite possibly the hairiest legs of any man I know.

16.  His favorite band is Radiohead.

17.  He didn't say a word to me our Sophomore year of high school...then asked to sign my yearbook...which said "Hey, you wanna make out?".

18.  His favorite cake is cherry chip.

19.  He doesn't laugh when he gets tickled.  He just sits there and every couple of seconds a burst of noise comes out of him.  Not laughter.  Just noise. 

20.  He first told me he loved me while eating Arctic Circle ice cream cones at Taylorsville Park.

21.  Old ladies like to mack on him...so since we've been married...he's kissed about 15 women other than me.  All over the age of 70.  None of them relatives.

22.  His greatest weakness other than me is Emmy.  She can get pretty much anything she wants from her Daddy.

23.  His dream in life was to go to a basketball game at Cameron Stadium in North Carolina and see Duke play.  I made that come true 7 years ago.  I'm an awesome wife :)

24.  He doesn't have a favorite color, but if he had to choose one, it would be green.

25.  He hates cranberry sauce.

26.  He loves to garden.  It's his favorite hobby. 

27.  He cheats at all board games/card games...pretty much every game except for Monopoly. You don't mess with him when you play Monopoly.

28.  He has a man crush...and his name is Matthew Fox.  

29.  He's extremely good looking...but that's obvious.

30.  He's the most incredible man in the entire world...and I'm blessed enough to be married to him.
